I went to Dan Wells' signing yesterday at the Orem Barnes and Noble, and since pictures are worth a thousand words, I'm going to save myself some typing.

| Dan Wells signing Partials |
Ah, I love signings. I already had my ARC of Partials signed by Dan Wells at LTUE. (well, Jenny got it signed for me). But, I've got this new idea that if I have a book that's already been signed by the author, I'll get it signed again, and have it dated. So, that's what I did with Partials. Dan Wells already signed the title page, so he also signed the dedication page. Very cool.
I love how having him sign it twice threw him off his grove a little. Way to shake up a signing! These pictures make me want to actually take a real camera next time I go to a book event. It makes quite the difference!
ReplyDeleteAnd P.S. I thought Dan Wells was awesome.
He was awesome. I think I like him better since he cut his hair. Weird, I know. And, we definitely need to take more pics. I always feel bad afterwards that we haven't.
DeleteI liked how it threw him off too. Btb it was Suey who got your book signed at LTUE. Didn't want to take credit. ;)
ReplyDeleteI think part of it was that I wasn't the one that had him sign it the first time, so he couldn't remember signing it the first time. But, it was kind of funny.
DeleteGreat pictures!!! Going to see Lauren Oliver and Kate Ellison tonight--you've got me all excited for bookish things now. :o)
ReplyDeleteOh, that sounds great! I'd love to see Lauren Oliver and Kate Ellison come to Utah sometime.
DeleteThat is awesome that he was willing to sign your book twice!
ReplyDeleteI think I'm going to do it more often. Kind of like a journal within my book.
DeleteSad I missed this. But at least I get to see Dan Wells in a couple of weeks at the Orem Library.
ReplyDeleteAnd, I LOVE the idea of having a writer sign a book twice!
