If you can't make it to BEA this year, I very strongly suggest that you sign up for Armchair BEA.
It's not too late to sign up, and you can be as involved as you want. The agenda is up, and there are plenty of giveaways and ways to connect with your fellow readers. I'll also be vlogging from BEA again, and we'll have plenty of behind-the-scenes pictures and video to share as well.
So, are you going to BEA? Or will you be joining in from home?

I'll be joining in from home this year since I couldn't get the time off from work to go, but I hope I get to go next year. Have fun!!:)

I'm having an amazon giftcard giveaway in honor of the book "Masters of the Veil"
Such a great compilation of tips. I have a question about receiving/storing books. You'd mentioned checking in a suitcase and storing them there, and in one of the links someone else talks about getting a box and writing your name on it. Would either of these things work? I like the idea of not having to lug my suitcase there every day. What do you know about the boxes?
ReplyDeleteYou can ship directly from the Javit's center via fedex. You get a box early in the day, and then ship it out when it is full. This option works for some people. I prefer the suitcase and post office shipping method. Basically, check in your rolling suitcase for $4 a day. Fill up the suitcase as you go through the day. Then, go to the post office that is just a few blocks away, and ship it all media mail. It will save you lots of dollars for only a little more hassle.
DeleteThanks for all the links ! As a first timer I've been reading everything I can to prepare !
